Ed has over 30 years of experience in semiconductor, electronic and mechanical design automation, with a focus on managing critical customer engagements within a highly complex and competitive arena as well as sustaining successful relationships with strategic partners and customers. Ed’s sector knowledge includes aerospace and defense, semiconductor and electronics, engineering and technology, automotive, transportation, heavy equipment, industrial automation, telecommunications, medical, commercial aerospace and consumer electronics. He has been responsible for managing sales organizations who meet the evolution of demands in today’s changing market and has been recognized as a leading global distribution partner. Ed is the Vice President of Business Development at FirstPass Engineering and holds a BS from Arizona State University.
Chairman of the Board
Bob was one of the founders of the original FirstPass, and is responsible for restarting the corporation in 2005. He has over twenty five years of highly diverse design engineering and technical management leadership experience within the semi-conductor industry. Past responsibilities included ASIC development, Switch Fabric Product Line Director, Director of IP Reuse, Director of Verification Task Force and other roles. Bob has been responsible for setting corporate wide standards and methodologies for ASIC development, especially advanced functional verification. Prior to FirstPass, Bob worked at Honeywell Defense Avionics, Martin Marietta Astronautics, and Vitesse. He has a BSEE from the University of Nebraska.
Chief Financial Officer
Lee joined FirstPass in 2011 as Chairman of the Board, and holding the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Prior to FirstPass, Lee was the Vice President of Engineering for the Chip Set Engineering Group for AMD overseeing the transition of the engineering organization following the acquisition of ATI Technologies by AMD. Lee also held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Vitesse Semiconductor, establishing standardized Design Methodologies and Tools. Lee also held senior management positions at Sitera, Inc., Intergraph Corporation, and Sun Microsystems. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University.
Vice President of Engineering
Kelly has been a leader in technology development for more than 25 years. Prior to joining FirstPass, she spent most of her career in high performance computing (HPC) at Cray, Inc. where she held a variety of engineering and leadership roles developing specialized ASICs for HPC applications, leading software and hardware development teams, and leading custom development programs for government customers. Most recently she was the Vice President of Strategic Customer Engagements for Cray and in that role managed leading edge procurements and R&D contracts. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois – Chicago.
Vice President of Federal Division
Brad has been actively engaged with IC development for more than 35 years, during which he has been extensively involved in a wide range of the ASIC/FPGA development programs. Brad’s product sector experience includes high reliability space and defense, industrial automation, telecommunications, medical, commercial aerospace and consumer electronics. Brad has experience developing government sponsored security programs, and is currently serving the role of Vice President of Secure Microelectronics. Brad holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona in Tucson Arizona
Director of Federal Division
With over 35 years of experience in Silicon Design, wafer fabrication, product engineering and silicon debug, Orlando is a highly accomplished, decisive and results-driven Technology Leader with domestic and international experience in Engineering Development. Orlando has worked in numerous technical
and managerial positions in semiconductor design, RTL development, Silicon Debug, Verification, Architecture, micro-Architecture for Micro-Processors, Micro-Controllers, chip set, memory controllers and security hardware accelerators. In 2017, Orlando joined FirstPass Engineering as the technical lead on a new CPU ASIC development. Orlando continues today as Director of the Federal Division at FirstPass Engineering. Orlando has proven track record at building and leading top-performing teams, engineering development, taping out products, problem solving, technology transfers, cross site working relationships and adapting to change.
Director of Global Division
Victor has been highly engaged in ASIC design and verification for more than 15 years working in the semiconductor industry. He has broad experience on RTL design and verification for several products in the communication sector and DFT development for GPUs . Victor has experience in design for test in the implementation of boundary scan structures, DC and at-speed scan, compression, and ATPG verification and debug at IP and SoC levels with also expertise on static timing analysis and custom analog design. Victor has proven experience on building and leading high performance teams for IP and SoC design and verification. In 2018 Victor joined FirstPass Global as DFT technical lead on GPU development and is currently the Director of Global Division in Guadalajara, Mexico. Victor holds a Master and PhD degree in Integrated Circuit Design by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE) in Mexico.
Director of Engineering
Jeff has over 25 years of experience in ASIC/FPGA design with product sector experience in the space, defense, and commercial industries. He has specialized in satellite communications, telecommunications, and digital signal processing product designs. Jeff joined FirstPass Engineering in 1996, after starting his career in the GE Aerospace Edison Engineering Program and Advance Course in Engineering in Liverpool NY. Jeff was part of the acquisition by Vitesse and has also worked in storage product IP development at PMC-Sierra/MSCC. Jeff holds Bachelors and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech University and Syracuse University.

Don began his computing career with Cray Research Inc. in 1983, a career start that led to roles in Silicon Graphics, Cray Inc., and most recently at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Don has held leadership positions in engineering test, professional services, and custom engineering. Don brings forth a broad engineering/business background, with large-scale project experience with a variety of U.S. Government labs and agencies, along with projects with the UK and Australian governments. Don attended the electrical engineering program offered by Control Data, along with continuing education through the University of St. Thomas
