Castle Rock, CO,  August 27, 2021

FirstPass Engineering PC, an ASIC/FPGA design services and solutions firm based in Colorado, its Chairman of the Board, Bob Schneiderwind, and CEO, Ed Lord, announced a new focus for the Company’s Community Outreach campaign on August 10, 2021. FirstPass Engineering (”FPE”) has traditionally supported its’ employees favorite charitable organizations by matching or exceeding the teams’ donations. Benefactors of over $50,000 of the Company’s 2020 Outreach program included Meals of Wheels, Oregon Food Bank, Doctor’s Without Borders, and more locally, Help Colorado Now, Boulder Community Health Foundation, and the Help & Hope Center in Castle Rock, CO.

With the start of the school year approaching and schools re-opening their doors after months of COVID-19 restrictions, the FirstPass Executive Team unanimously decided to support the teachers and school support staff related to FPE’s employees. Bob Schneiderwind, whose wife is an educator, knows firsthand that teachers spend their own dollars throughout the school year, especially when setting up their classrooms. Bob mentioned the emphasis of the 2021 Outreach program was ”…focusing on supporting teachers who are instrumental in teaching the next generation of STEM and other fields.” The Company accepted nominations through August 17, with special considerations reviewed after employee family members were gifted funds to help set up classrooms, libraries, and gyms for returning students.

The FirstPass 2021Teacher Outreach program delivered $3,500 in gift cards to teachers, professors, and support staff throughout the US. FirstPass also made a $250 donation to Aspen View Academy in Castle Rock. In addition, after receiving a letter from the Principal of an underfunded public elementary school in Phoenix, AZ that serves an at-risk population, FirstPass Engineering made a $5,000 donation to Wilson Elementary.  Ms. Campton, the school’s Principal, was thrilled when she learned of the gift and immediately replied, ”Our community is amazing, and the donation will help so much!”.  Ms. Campton also said she looks forward to updating FirstPass  Engineering on how the contribution makes a difference throughout the 2021-2022 school year.
